Garcinia Cambogia

Garcinia cambogia is also known as Garcinia gummi-gutta. The fruit of this plant resembles a small pumpkin and is used by many people for losing weight. The skin of this fruit contains a lot of natural substance Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA). This ingredient results in the weight loss.
The studies on fats have shown that Garcinia Cambogia can inhibit a fat producing enzyme Citrate Lyase. This enzyme makes it more difficult for the organism to transform carbohydrates into fat. It also increases the level of the neurotransmitter serotonin which is responsible for lowering appetite and food cravings. As a result, a rat loses weight. Unfortunately, that doesn't always work for humans.
The studies of people included 135 obese individuals who were divided into two groups: one group took 3 grams of Garcinia Cambogia Extract every day, while the placebo group took only placebo during 12 weeks. Both groups also followed a low calorie, high-fiber diet. The group taking Garcinia Cambogia extract lost less weight than the placebo group.

Garcinia is a plant whose fruit is used for the production of medicine. The research shows that garcinia controls appetite ad prevents fat storage effectively; but some side effects may happen in humans. In general, garcinia is considered to be safe for most people when taken for less than 12 weeks by mouth. Long-term usage of this plant can be harmful.
Garcinia can lead to digestive tract discomfort, nausea, and headache. It is not recommended for usage by future or young mothers. Lately, the use of garcinia becomes linked to many hospitalizations, according to medical expert Sue Decotiis, M.D. It means that manufacturers break rules of dosing garcinia cambogia in their pill packs, or maybe they add other harmful ingredients.
According to Mr. Decottis, most brands of garcinia cambogia extract diet pills have failed the check by the independent laboratory quality. No large-scale trials have been conducted that would compare garcinia to other supplements or placeboes.
